Course Memo
Transitions II will foster development and integration of multiple ways of thinking associated with
higher level nursing practice. Students will be exposed to the concepts of scientific thinking, critical
reflection, creative thinking, clinical imagination, and clinical reasoning. Case studies will be used to
refine and broaden the integration of scientific knowledge, nursing knowledge, and the standards of
nursing practice. Students will be challenged to integrate these elements and apply clinical reasoning
in management of patient/population health. Prerequisite: N480.
