MSN-ADULT/GERO ACUTE CARE NP

Description

Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP)

Students in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program may pursue either a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). The curriculum is based upon the Adult- Gerontology Nurse Practitioner core courses, with added focus on acute care specialty courses and acute care practicum. One aspect of the program at Saint Anthony College of Nursing that sets it apart from other schools is the acute care diagnostics and therapeutics course, with 100 clinical hours in radiology, pharmacotherapeutics, nutritional support and pulmonary critical care.  This program is available as a post-baccalaureate and post-master option.

This program typically takes four to six years to complete depending on option chosen.
